Young Acres

A Family Farm Focused on Soil Health and Long-Term Stewardship

Young Acres is a family-run farm in western Québec, built with a long-term commitment to responsible land management, practical farming systems, and continuous improvement.

Our goal is simple: protect the land, grow healthy crops, and build a resilient operation for future generations.

About Young Acres

Young Acres is a multigenerational family farm developed with care, patience, and respect for the land. What began as a working property is being thoughtfully transformed into a modern agricultural operation focused on sustainability, productivity, and long-term viability.

Every decision is guided by a balance of traditional farming knowledge and practical innovation. We believe strong farms are built over time through good planning, sound management, and a deep understanding of the land.

Our approach emphasizes steady progress rather than short-term gains, ensuring the farm remains productive and resilient for years to come.

Our Approach

At Young Acres, our focus is on building healthy, productive soils that support strong crops and long-term farm stability. We work toward this through no-till and regenerative practices that improve soil structure, reduce erosion, and strengthen natural systems.

Farming decisions are based on experience, observation, and careful planning. Modern tools such as field mapping and aerial imagery are used when they add value, helping us better understand drainage, soil variability, and crop performance. These tools support hands-on farming — they do not replace it.

Our goal is to farm responsibly, manage resources wisely, and continue improving the land year after year.

No-Till Farming

Protecting soil structure and reducing erosion

Water Management

Understanding drainage and field conditions

Continuous Improvement

Responsible Land Stewardship

At Young Acres, our focus is on building healthy, productive soils that support strong crops and long-term farm stability. We work toward this through no-till and regenerative practices that improve soil structure, reduce erosion, and strengthen natural systems.

Maintain soil structure

Reduce runoff and erosion

Improve organic matter

Protect waterways

Promote long-term fertility

By working with natural systems and minimizing unnecessary disturbance, we aim to leave the land stronger than we found it.

Sustainability for us means making practical choices today that support productivity tomorrow.

Practical Use of Technology

Modern agriculture benefits from good information. When appropriate, Young Acres uses field mapping and aerial imagery to better understand field conditions and guide management decisions.

These tools help identify:

Maintain soil structure

Soil variability

Crop development differences

Areas needing attention

Field mapping and analysis are performed using industry-standard software, and operations are supported by Pix4D Fields Certified training and Transport Canada Advanced Pilot certification to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with regulations.

Technology is used as a support tool — never as a replacement for experience, fieldwork, and sound agronomic advice.

Industry Partnerships

Young Acres works with trusted industry partners to ensure the tools and technologies used on the farm meet professional standards.

Young Acres partners with DroneXperts, a Canadian leader in professional drone solutions, to bring advanced aerial technology directly to the field.

With expertise in UAV sales, technical support, training, and operational integration, DroneXperts ensures that innovation translates into reliable performance and actionable field insights, supporting smarter decisions and long-term sustainability
