Original posting on June 12, 2011:
There is a public information session on June 15, 2011 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the South Falling Brook Community Center, 998 Valin, regarding the Trim Road realignment project.
Please refer to the Key Plan for map of the realignment.
The City of Ottawa has initiated the design assignment for the realignment of Trim Road, from OR174 to Innes Road. A Schedule ‘C’ Environmental Assessment (EA) for this project was previously completed in September 1998 with subsequent Addendum in August 2002.
The project limits include: Trim Road (OR174 to Innes Rd.), Frank Kenny Road (Trim Rd. to 1.4km south of Innes Rd.), St. Joseph Boulevard (OR174 off-ramp to Trim Rd.) and Old Montreal Road (Trim Rd. to Dairy Dr.). The proposed work involves widening the roadway to 4-lanes including bike lanes and sidewalks / multi-use pathways, providing signalized intersections at major roadways, and installing watermains and storm sewers. The project is to be constructed in three (3) phases; the first set to begin in 2011 with the majority of construction commencing in 2012.
An information session is being held to provide information to the residents and affected property owners regarding the proposed works and to receive input and comments from interested parties.
